Pokemon GO Upgrade Items and Components
A specific item can be used to develop certain Pokemon. The upgrade is obtained by spinning a PokeStop photo disc. It is sometimes offered as a prize at Pokemon GO events.
Upgrades can be applied to weapons, armors, trinkets, and gathering tools in order to increase the level of their item. The upgrade costs Flightstones or crests based on the kind of item.
Upgrade components
Upgrade components can be added to trinkets, armors, weapons and other tools for gathering in order to provide attributes bonuses or other effects while using the equipment. Upgrade components can only be used on equipment with an upgrade slot available. Most upgrade components also require that the item being upgraded is at a certain level. Some upgrade item s have special effects that appear when they are used. Upgrade components can be obtained through crafting, purchased from karma traders or traded with other players on the Trading Post, taken from equipment, or acquired as rewards during games.
A variety of upgrade components are available, each offering an individual bonus. Universal upgrades, such as gems and inscriptions can be used with any kind of equipment; they provide smaller bonuses than other types of upgrade components. Infusions can be found in non-amulet ascended equipment as well as legendary equipment, while enrichments are used for some items that are ascended back. Most upgrade components can be replaced when they are slotted into an item, however doing so destroys the previous upgrade. The exceptions are glyphs (which can only be used in gathering tools) and enchantments, which can be removed and then reinserted.
Insignias, enchantments, and prefix/suffix upgrades will appear in the hover display of the item, and they will be added to the equipment's name (e.g. a Radiant Insignia would change the name to Radiant Tyrian Armor). The tooltip of an item will display the number of upgrade components that have been added to it.
Glyphs
Glyphs are special characters that can be inserted into an OpenType font to add functional or decorative elements, like ligatures and fractions, ornaments, swashes registered trademark symbols, and ellipses. The Glyphs Panel lets you add and view these unique characters as well as common symbols like em and en dashes as in trademark symbols that are registered.
Each Glyph provides a primary stat boost for the character. It also comes with up to four Secondary Stats that affect the radius of the glyph on your Paragon Board. Secondary Stats are a %-increase that is multiplied when other bonuses are applied, with the exception of Speed Glyphs which directly increase the hero's speed.
The Glyphs in your inventory can be activated by selecting them and then clicking the "enchant" button. This will display a new window with the Glyphs you have available that can be applied to the selected item. Make sure you select the right type of Glyph can be applied to the selected item and each weapon, jewelry or armor piece may have an array of different Glyphs.
You can upgrade your Glyphs by finishing Tree of Whisper Quests or Nightmare Dungeons. The more difficult the dungeon, the higher the amount of Glyph experience that you will earn. Once a Glyph attains level 15 and is upgraded, it can be upgraded by the Glyph Upgrade Altar. The radius of the Paragon Board increases by one node each 15 levels that a Glyph is upgraded.
Once a Glyph is leveled up to the desired level, you can activate it by selecting it and then pressing the "enchant" button. The resulting glyph will offer its stated benefit and increase the number of nodes that are within its radius on the Paragon Board. Glyphs should go in areas that will benefit your building the most. This is why you should prioritize Magic Glyphs as soon as possible. Rare glyphs could also provide double bonus if certain conditions can be fulfilled.
If you're having difficulty finding a specific glyph, click the cycle widget on the Glyphs panel to show the panel in a number of perspectives. Each of these views shows the Glyphs in a different font. You can narrow down the selection of glyphs by choosing an option under "Entire Font". For instance, punctuation only shows punctuation glyphs. Math Symbols restricts the selection to mathematical symbols.
Rerolling
Rerolling is a method in which you create a brand new account to give yourself more opportunities to pull a character or weapon that you are interested in. Sets
A set is a collection of objects that share common attributes (like the number of eggs in a dozen or the members of a class). Sets can be used for operations such as intersection, union and differences.
If you upgrade a set item, it is an entirely new version that is better than the previous one. This means that weapons and armor will have a higher defense value and less requirement for strength.
Upgrades can bring well-known items from single sets up to the same level as those in higher-end sets. For example upgrading Guillaume's Face helm to Elite Spired Helm boosts the defense from 217 to 321 while also reducing the strength requirement and level requirement to a more manageable range.
It is important to keep in mind that not all items in an assortment can be upgraded. Some sets, like the FB Sorc Whistan's shield and Naj's puzzler staff are already exceptional in their own right and don't require upgrading. Certain items, such as Goldwrap and Whistan's Shield (both BiS) that are often used, could benefit from an upgrade to increase their performance. It could be worthwhile to upgrade these items.
